In this section you can access The Grapevine Pattern Book. The Grapevine Pattern Book was adopted to the Grapevine Code of Ordinances, Appendix G on June 17, 2025 and applies to all residential properties within the boundary of the Grapevine Historic Township District, for new construction and additions.
An Executive Summary provides an overview of The Grapevine Pattern Book. It highlights the five basic steps to design a home that fits the Township and meets City requirements. (1) Understand Your Property; (2) Know the Buildable Area; (3) Plan the House Shape (Building Form); (4) Choose a Style; (5) Follow Construction and Quality Standards.
The Grapevine Pattern Book offers four styles that were prevalent in the Grapevine Historic Township: Folk Victorian Style, Queen Anne Victorian Style, Arts & Crafts Bungalow Style and Prairie Style. These styles are encouraged when selecting a style for a new home to be constructed in the Historic Township.
