How to Apply

THE WAITING LIST IS CLOSED

The Grapevine Housing Authority participates in HUD's Public Housing Program and has 98 units all of which are occupied.  We currently have over 400 applicants on our waiting list, so we are not accepting new applications at this time.   You can continue to monitor this website to see the next time the waiting list will be open.

GHA does not participate in HUD’s Housing Choice Voucher (Section 8) program.   You can reach out to Tarrant County Housing Assistance, Fort Worth Housing Solutions or Arlington Housing Authority regarding the voucher program.

HELPFUL WEBSITES:

HUD has a tool   https://resources.hud.gov/# where you can enter a zip code or a city name and a map will populate with affordable housing locations. If you click the individual circle/dot, information will populate including the name and address. You will need to make calls to see if these places have availability or get on their waiting list.

Selection of Applicants

Applicants come to the top of the waiting list according to the preference ranking, date, and time of their application. Grapevine residents or individuals who work in Grapevine are given a higher preference. All who fall within the estimated income limits set forth by HUD annually are eligible.

When your name reaches the top of the waiting list, you will be notified when a unit is available. At that time an eligibility review will be performed by the GHA staff: your income, assets, criminal history, landlord, and personal references will be verified.
