You may submit a completed job application online by going to www.grapevinetexas.gov and click "Job Opportunities" on the Quick Links.Human Resources
Click on the desired position, and then click on Apply. The link will will take you to Government Jobs. If this is your first time using the online application, you will need to create an account and select a username and password. After creating your account, you will be able to login and build an application. This application will be saved so that you may use it to apply for multiple jobs if you desire. Resumes and other pertinent information can be sent as an attachment in the online application process. This is a secure site, and only authorized City employees have access to your information.
Although all applicants who meet the minimum qualifications are considered, those candidates whose background, experience and education which are most closely related to the position may be considered first. Due to the number of applications, not all applicants will be interviewed.
Filling a job vacancy can take from four to six weeks or longer, depending on the type of position.
All applicants can check on the status of their on-line application by logging into www.governmentjobs.com. Click your username at the top right corner, a drop box opens, then click on Applications & Status. It will show all of the jobs that you have applied for and the status of your application. -

You are able to create and manage your own online account from anywhere, including the comfort of your home. You are able to apply for multiple jobs at one time. You are able to view and print job postings and job descriptions. You are able to complete and submit your application online using internet access. You are able to track the status of your application. You can choose to be notified of job vacancies by completing a Job Interest Cards for individual jobs or categories of jobs that are not currently open. You eliminate costly travel time by simply applying online. -
For all TCOLE licensed (law enforcement) positions and positions in the City Secretary’s Office you are required to be a US Citizen. However, for all other positions within the city you must be authorized to work in the United States.Human Resources

There is no limit to the number of positions for which you may apply. If you apply online, you can complete one application and apply for multiple positions at one time. However, you can only apply for the same job once a day.Human Resources

No, we only accept applications for jobs for which we are currently recruiting. These jobs are vacant at the time they are posted or will be vacant very soon. However, if you have Internet access, you may complete a Job Interest Card for job(s) that you might want to apply for when a vacancy arises. This interest card will remain on file or “open” for 12 months. You will be notified by e-mail when a job that you have expressed interest in is posted. Log in to www.grapevinetexas.gov and go to the Human Resources Department. Click on the link Job Interest Cards and follow the directions to complete the notification request.

We do not accept resumes in lieu of a completed application. However, you may attach a resume or other required documents to your online application by clicking the "Attachments" box and click "Add supplemental attachment". Instructions for Submitting Paper Applications. Paper applications are accepted only for current job openings and are available in the Human Resources Department or by download from our website. Go to the City webpage www.grapevinetexas.gov then the Human Resources Department, and then Forms. Click on the application and print. Paper applications may be mailed to: City of Grapevine, Human Resources Dept. P.O. Box 95104 Grapevine, TX 76099 or delivered in person to: The City of Grapevine Human Resources Department Grapevine City Hall 200 South Main Street Grapevine, Texas 76051 or faxed to (817) 410-3006. Resumes do not serve as a substitute for a fully completed application. However, cover letters and resumes may be included with an application. Applications are issued and accepted for posted positions only. Applications should be typed or printed (black or blue ink). Applicants must complete a City of Grapevine application for which they have an interest and must include the title of the position on the application. THE EXACT JOB TITLE MUST BE SHOWN ON THE APPLICATION. (Exact job titles are listed on the Human Resources Department's home page of the City's website under Job Opportunities. The Job Opportunities bulletin is also posted in the Human Resources office in City Hall.) The application must be completed entirely and all questions must be answered. If a question does not apply indicate “NA” for not applicable. Resumes will not be accepted as a substitute for applications, but may be attached for additional information. The City of Grapevine performs background checks on those individuals applying for safety or security sensitive positions as well as other individuals who work with the public. While a criminal conviction will not automatically disqualify you, failure to honestly answer questions about criminal convictions constitutes falsification of an application and will automatically disqualify you from consideration by the City of Grapevine now and in the future. Therefore, you need to be sure you honestly and thoroughly complete all questions about criminal convictions. -
