National Public Gardens Day is a day of awareness of America’s public gardens and their important role in promoting environmental stewardship and awareness, plant and water conservation, and education in communities nationwide.  This year's celebration will take place on Friday, May 6, from 10 am-6 pm in the Botanical Gardens at Heritage Park, 411 Ball Street, Grapevine.  Highlights include gardening workshops, youth activities, and art in the garden.

The City offers free mulch year round for Grapevine residential use.  Mulch is available at the Dove Loop trailhead parking lot located on Dove Loop Road, directly behind Cross Timbers Winery.  This mulch is not for commercial use.
