January 2, 2024 City Council Chambers in City Hall
Would you like to learn cross stitch or embroidery? Would you like to meet others with the same interests? Whether you're a beginner or an expert, you're invited to join Molly Wright in the Area History Room every Saturday morning from 10:30 am to noon. We will be expanding our textile arts programs over the next year, so stay tuned!
There’s no percussion soloist like Mark Shelton! The one-man concert can include performances on marimba, hammered dulcimer, handpan, bodhran, bones, cajon, and electronic percussion. Original compositions, arrangements, and improvisations draw from his experiences in classical, jazz, folk, and popular music. The high energy performances are balanced with a good dose of anecdotes from Mark’s rural West Tennessee roots and his years as a freelance musician. Thank you to the Friends of the Library for sponsoring this event. All are welcome.
