26th Annual Great Taste of Grapevine – Thursday, April 21
Take your taste buds on a fun-filled journey as you enjoy an evening sampling culinary creations from 14 local restaurants, and fabulous live music! The 26th Annual Great Taste of Grapevine will take place on Thursday, April 21 from 5:30 to 8:30 pm at the Courtyard Marriott DFW North Grapevine, 2200 Bass Pro Court. Participants will receive a souvenir wine glass and plate, a complimentary beverage, and much more!
Organized by the Women's Division of the Grapevine Chamber of Commerce, proceeds from this community fundraiser assists over 1500 GCISD students in need, obtain school supplies, and also provides Christmas gifts and other needed supplies to Senior Citizens in the greater Grapevine area.

Grapevine Garden Club’s Annual Plant Sale – Saturday, April 23
Join the Grapevine Garden Club for their annual “Timeless Treasures” plant sale, featuring indoor and outdoor plants, heirloom perennials, herbs, succulents, drought-tolerant plants, butterfly host plants and hanging baskets. Caladium bulbs, yard art, gardening books, and timeless treasures will also be available. Admission is free and Master Gardeners will be available for guidance. Animal Services OPEN HOUSE – Saturday, April 23 - FREE
The Animal Services team will be hosting an Open House offering shelter tours, adoption specials, a microchip clinic, crafts for animals, coloring, face painters, raffles, giveaways, music, Wise Guys Pizza (for purchase), and fun for the entire family.

Microchip Clinic – First 25 Animals Receive a FREE Microchip
It is National Pet ID Week and that means FREE pet microchips. This event will coincide with the Animal Services OPEN HOUSE event on Saturday, April 23 from 10 am to 2 pm. The first 25 animals will receive a free microchip. All others are only $5! Registration of the microchip is included. While collars or tags can fall off, microchips are so helpful to get animals returned to their owners quickly and more often than traditional forms of ID. Cats will especially benefit from a chip as those coming into shelters are usually only reunited due to a microchip. We hope to see you and your pets this weekend!

Calling all dads and sons! Do you remember your favorite field day activities as a child? This event will allow an opportunity to pass down those memories to your son(s) at our annual Father-Son Field Day. This throw-back event will include all the traditional activities to watch, play, and experience together - but with a TWIST! Fathers may participate with up to three sons (ages three years and older). Enjoy a morning outdoors creating memories to last a lifetime. Food and water will be provided for all participants. Drug Take-Back and Data Shredding – Saturday, April 30
The Grapevine Police Department will be collecting unwanted and expired prescription medications in partnership with the Drug Enforcement Agency in the front parking lot of the Public Safety Building located at 1007 Ira E. Woods Avenue. The purpose of Drug Take-Back is to reduce prescription drug abuse and accidental overdoses in the United States by eliminating the unnecessary storage of these unwanted and expired medications. The majority of prescription drug abusers say they get their drugs from friends and family, including from the home medicine cabinet. Drug Take-Back is a unique opportunity for Americans to protect their homes and medicine cabinets from theft and abuse.
Complimentary on-site data shredding services will also be available at this event. Data shredding offers a safe way to dispose of any unwanted documents aiding in minimizing potential identity theft.

Earth Month Challenge – Through April 30
Invest in your community by helping make it clean and litter free. This challenge encourages residents to clean their neighborhoods and rewards lucky participants with awesome prizes! Details are as follows:
- Download your participation card, available in English or Spanish.
- As you collect litter in your neighborhood, your favorite park, or other green space, mark off each space as you find the items on the card. If needed, a grabber and trash bags will be provided by contacting us at info@KeepGrapevineBeautiful.org.
- Email your completed card to info@KeepGrapevineBeautiful.org along with your contact information no later than 7 pm, Sunday, April 30. Please also share photos of you and your family in action during this campaign.
- If you choose to post your images on social media, please tag #KGVBTX, showing everyone your litter collection and community involvement.
Your card is your entry into the random drawing on Monday, May 2 when three prizes will be awarded. Only one winner per household will be eligible. Prizes are as follows:
- A one night stay at the Vineyards Campground & Cabins ($150 value)
- An annual pass to the Grapevine Lake Parks, ($80 value)
- $25 gift card to The REC
