Grapevine Fire Awarded Achievement of Excellence
We are proud to announce that while attending the 2021 Annual Texas Fire Marshal's Conference, the City of Grapevine Fire Department was awarded the 2021 Achievement of Excellence Gold Level Award. The Achievement of Excellence in Fire Prevention Award ("AEFP Award") is an annual award that recognizes organizations for performance excellence in fire prevention. Established in 2008, the AEFP Award is administered by the Texas Fire Marshal's Association (TxFMA"), the official State Chapter of the International Fire Marshal's Association. Grapevine Fire received a score of 193 out of a possible 200.
Grapevine Fire Chief Darrell Brown shared, “We are honored to be recognized by the Texas Fire Marshal’s Association. Our fire prevention team goes above and beyond each day to ensure that our citizens and visitors are safe here in Grapevine. The team works hard to make sure each commercial building meets or exceeds life safety standards. We do this through fire extinguisher and CPR training, reviewing building plans for new and renovated construction projects, and through our annual inspection program. Often times our community involvement through fire prevention reduces our emergency responses.” View the media release from the Texas Fire Marshal's Association at bit.ly/3GZVT0H.
