[ARCHIVED] PAWS by Reading 6/1/22

PAWS by Reading

Our PAWS (Promoting Animal Welfare and Safety) by Reading is back at our new animal shelter!  We love welcoming families with children who want to learn about treating animals with compassion, safety around animals, animal adoption, and more!

Join us Wednesday, June 1, 2022 from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at Grapevine Animal Services as we welcome back our PAWS (Promoting Animal Welfare and Safety) by Reading program!  Come see our new animal shelter and enjoy learning about responsible pet ownership and compassion for animals with your family.

Children 10 and under will have the opportunity to attend story time at the shelter.  Our shelter staff will welcome children and read two stories about homeless animals who found their forever homes.  Following story time, children will be encouraged to color a picture of a shelter animal in need of a home.  Popsicles will be provided.

Sign up is required due to limited space. To help allow as many children to attend as possible, we kindly ask that there is only one adult chaperone per family; children should not be left unattended. The event is free of charge.
