The Grapevine Police Department moved its annual awards banquet to a virtual format. The change allowed a mostly private ceremony to be shared publicly. More than three dozen award recipients earned top honors from Chief Mike Hamlin on Friday, November 13, 2020. GPD congratulates all of the winners for outstanding service, and thanks ALL employees for their tremendous work over the past year. Every member of the Grapevine Police Department contributes to its success. Here are this year's honorees:

Life Saving -- Officer John Chandler, Officer Mark Collins, Officer Karem Miramontes, Officer Ryan Sayre, Officer Jonathan Velez

Commendation -- Sergeant Jon Meador, Detective Shannon Perry, Officer Brandon Phifer, Officer Joseph Duer, Officer Daniel McClain

Certificate of Merit -- Crime Analyst Hiroko Laukhuf, Property & Evidence Technician Michelle Mack, Detective Joseph Moeller

Chief's Special Service -- Detention Officer Cody Alexander, Detention Officer Jenna Antenucci, Detention Officer Jared Cook, Detention Officer Jose Diaz, Officer Joseph Duer, Detention Supervisor Michael Frazier, Detention Officer Rosalyn Hights, Detention Officer Barry Mullins, Detention Officer Mitchell Parrish, Officer Dale Roath, Detention Officer Thomas Sweetland, Detention Officer Jennifer Tellez, Detention Officer Sammy Trinidad, Detention Officer Giovanni Velez, Officer Brian Watts, Officer Philip Wolan
