[ARCHIVED] COVID-19 Precautions

Enhanced Safety web

As our community unites in efforts to fight the spread of COVID-19, Grapevine Police remain committed to your safety.  Our officers, dispatchers, detention officers, and records specialists continue to provide necessary services to you.

Just as our team utilizes extra safety protocols for employees, we ask that you also consider making any police records requests through email rather than in person.  Records requests can be emailed to: Records@grapevinetexas.gov.  You can also call our Records Section during normal business hours at: 817.410.3218 for more information or to get help in making a request.

Our dispatchers will ask additional questions over the phone to help identify which emergency calls may warrant the need for officers and paramedics to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as masks and gloves.

Animal Services may limit their response to some non-emergency animal calls, like barking complaints or stray pickup requests.  They will continue to answer high-priority calls such as  aggressive animals, bite complaints, cruelty and neglect reports, and injured or sick animals.  Coppell Animal Services (where Grapevine residents are currently utilizing animal services) is suspending owner surrenders and animal adoptions.

Our Grapevine Citizens Police Academy classes are suspended until further notice.  The National Drug Take Back Day in April has been postponed.  The Grapevine Community Outreach Center is closed, including all programs, until at least March 30.  All non-essential fingerprinting is suspended.

We will continue to answer your calls for help, and want you to know we are always here for you.  Thank you for your unwavering support as we navigate our health and safety together.  Please remember to follow the City of Grapevine for all updates related to COVID-19 at grapevinetexas.gov and @CityOfGrapevine.
