Great work by members of the Traffic Unit for a job well-done at the annual Capital of Texas Police Motorcycle Chute Out in Pflugerville. Sergeant Easley placed 1st in Novice Individual Speed Harley Electra Glide. Senior Officer Hardin earned 7th place in the Expert Individual Harley Electra Glide. Smith and Hardin also placed 4th in the Tethered Partner Ride in their first team riding together.
These officers credit Senior Officer Hudson for their success, as he not only traveled to Pflugerville with them, he helped coach them to victory. In fact, Senior Ofc. Hudson was recognized at the awards banquet for how far he has come since his injuries in last year’s life-threatening wreck, and how his survival showcases the importance of training.
Officer Lain also brought pride to our City and Department by singing the National Anthem and at the banquet with his daughter Peyton. We applaud Ofc. Lain’s passion and dedication to cheer on his fellow Motors officers.
These competitions help officers fine tune their skills in higher-stress environments, while also raising money for charities. Congratulations, gentlemen! You make us proud!
