The spirit of giving can be felt across Grapevine, as citizens and businesses help the Grapevine Police Department spread holiday cheer to the families they serve.
The Santa Cops program delivers toys to economically disadvantaged children in the community, and is funded entirely by donations. Grapevine Police Officers, VIPS (Volunteer in Police Services), community volunteers, and families organize and implement the collection, wrapping, and distribution of toys. Anyone interested in donating a new, unwrapped toy can take it to one of the designated drop-off locations: Grapevine Public Safety Building, City Hall, The REC, Grapevine Golf Course, and GCISD Administration Building. Cash donations are also accepted.
The 2017 Santa Cop Toy Shoppe is located in the former World Market building, 1317 W. SH 114 #100. Individuals and community groups interested in helping wrap Santa Cops toys for the children are most welcome! The community gift wrapping dates are December 5, 7, 12 and, if needed, December 14. Wrapping times are from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Police Officers will deliver toys to children’s homes in time for Christmas.
