Active Shooter Training

alerrt training in school hallway

Each year the Grapevine Police Department conducts active shooter trainings for officers so they can maintain and enhance their skills to protect the community.

Grapevine Police are fortunate to have the support of the Grapevine-Colleyville Independent School District (GCISD) so officers can cover various scenarios inside local campuses.

Grapevine Police utilize the Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training (ALERRT) program. Officers train for different types of situations in both schools and other businesses and locations throughout the city. Grapevine PD conducts multiple trainings, including active shooter training, annually for officers.
