Detectives assigned to this Unit are experienced police investigators, who receive specialized training in a variety of disciplines including: death investigations, interviewing techniques, domestic violence and forensic science.

Investigations include Homicide, Robbery, Assault, Domestic Violence, Juvenile, Sex Crimes and Child Abuse. Detectives conduct general investigations, which includes criminal threats, restraining order violations and other various crimes.

Detectives also actively monitor local sex registrants to ensure their compliance with the registration requirements of the Texas Penal Code. Detectives also are tasked with locating missing persons and runaways and work closely with the Grapevine-Colleyville Independent School District.
