Qualifications
All applicants must be in compliance with the following:
- Drug Policy
- Tattoo Policy (no tattoos on face, neck, or head)
- No convictions, deferred adjudications, or probation for theft or family violence assault
- No convictions, deferred adjudications, or probation for Class A misdemeanor or above
- No convictions, deferred adjudications, or probation for Class B misdemeanor within last 10 years
Additional Qualifications for:
Police Officer
- Must be a United States citizen
- Have a valid Texas driver's license or ability to obtain one (out of state applicants)
- Must meet one of the following:
- 30 college hours from a Regionally Accredited College or University by date of hire
- High School diploma or GED and a Texas Peace Officer license;
- High School diploma or GED and 2 years active military service with honorable discharge
Telecommunicator
- Must be a United States citizen
- Have a valid driver's license or ability to obtain one (out of state applicants)
- High School diploma or GED
Detention Officer
- Have the legal right to work in the United States
- Have a valid driver's license or ability to obtain one (out of state applicants)
