Fire Code adopted by the City of Grapevine requires standards to be met for fire and life safety.  The Fire Code helps ensure a level of safety to our firefighters when they respond to help you. 

We inspect all commercial buildings annually as well as special events and upon notification of safety concerns, we will inspect to ensure that conditions are safe from unwanted fire.

Permits are required for certain activities, processes or businesses that may create hazards that need more safeguards to help ensure fire and life safety.  Permits may be required for the following types of processes or activities.
1. Install or modify fire protections systems.
2. Erect a tent or membrane structure over 400 sq. ft in area.
3. Install fuel tanks
4. Store hazardous materials.
5. Carnivals or special events. 
6. Fireworks displays.
