Cotton Belt Trail Repairs – Through Mid-April 

Attention bikers and walkers! Cotton Belt Trail repairs began this week. There will be temporary trail closures where you will see message boards, barricades, and sidewalk closure signs to redirect cyclist and pedestrian traffic. The trail has been divided into six sections for repair. Weather permitting, repairs should be complete by mid-April. The repair schedule is below.  
Brumlow to Mustang – began 02/25/19 
Mustang to Kimball – begins 3/11/19 

Kimball to Walmart – begins 3/18/19 

Walmart to Ernest Dean – begins 3/25/19 

Ernest Dean to Baylor – begins 4/1/19

Grapevine Aquatics – Now Hiring! 

The Grapevine Parks & Recreation Aquatics Division is now accepting applications for Summer 2019. Choose from fun locations such as The REC & Dove Waterpark. Positions include swim lesson instructors, swim lesson aids, cashiers and lifeguards. Make the most of your summer and apply at GrapevineTexas.gov.

Keep Grapevine Beautiful Organic Gardening – Tonight, February 27  

Learn how to garden without using synthetic fertilizers and harmful pesticides this season. Organic gardening is fundamentally different from traditional methods and nurtures the soil to help it absorb and retain moisture longer which reduces the need for water and fertilization. Joyce Connelley, of Marshall Grain, will also instruct participants on how to prevent weeds without using toxic chemicals. To register, please visit EventBrite.com.

Classic Movies at the Palace Theatre – Friday, March 1 

Join us at the Palace Theatre this Friday for The Wizard of Oz. This beloved classic film stars Judy Garland as a young girl who is swept away by a tornado, from a farm in Kansas, to the magical land of Oz.  She embarks on a quest with three new friends to see the Wizard who can help her return home. JumpFit, A New Fitness Craze – Saturday, March 2 

Everyone is talking about a new fitness craze called JumpFit, and it’s here. JumpFit is a low-impact rebound fitness class that involves strapping on a pair of rebound boots that have oval springs attached to provide increased gravitational load on the body. Rebounding has been used to train astronauts and assist in injury and surgery recovery. This high-energy workout reduces body fat while firming your legs, thighs, abdomen and hips. Grapevine Vintage Railroad Season Begins March 2 – Tickets Available Now 

Step back in time with a nostalgic ride on the Grapevine Vintage Railroad. The railroad is serviced by two Victorian-style locomotives, including "Puffy" the 1896 steam locomotive, the oldest continuously operating steam engine in the south, and "Vinny," a 1953 GP-7 diesel locomotive. Most weekends throughout the year, the Grapevine Vintage Railroad travels along the historic Cotton Belt Route between Grapevine and the Fort Worth Stockyards. The 21-mile trip rolls at a leisurely pace and is perfect for the entire family. Tickets may be purchased at GrapevineTicketLine.com.

Classical guitarist Peter Fletcher performs a solo recital including repertoire that runs the gamut from the Renaissance Period through the 20th Century.

Spring Flag Football Men’s 8 on 8 League Registration Now Open

The REC of Grapevine Spring Break Camp - March 11 – 15 

This epic Spring Break Camp has something for those seeking BIG fun! The REC Spring Break campers will participate in fun and energetic activities including swimming in our indoor aquatic center, games in the gym, activities in the dance room and on the outdoor turf field. Spring Break campers will be escorted on two separate field trips (field trip fees are covered in registration fees). Campers should bring a lunch, swim suit and towel, daily. 27th Annual New Vintage Wine and Gallery Trail & Blessing of the Vines – Saturday, April 13 
Raise a toast to the good life at Grapevine's 27th Annual New Vintage Wine and Gallery Trail & Blessing of the Vines. A “tasting passport” will be required and will serve as your ticket at the various wineries.  You may obtain your tasting passport at the Convention and Visitors Bureau, 636 South Main Street. Adding to the day’s festivities, the Blessing of the Vines will take place.  For this centuries-old tradition, a priest bestows a blessing on the vineyards for an upcoming fruitful season and harvest, and on the newly produced wines from the prior year's yield.  This event is for participants ages 21 and older only.  To purchase tickets and for additional information, please visit GrapevineTexasUSA.com.

Passports: Tasting passports available  9 am Saturday, April 13 at the Convention & Visitors Bureau, 636 South Main Street.  Passports will not be mailed.
