                                         Adult Summer Reading Program
                                   June 6th, 2013 through August 21st, 2014

Yes, Adults can win prizes too!  The Grapevine Public Library encourages you to read books at home or listen to audiobooks during your summer travels.  Yes, eBooks count!

                                              How Does it Work?

*Sign up at the Adult Summer Reading Desk located in the Library.  The program starts June 6th and ends August 21st. 

*Complete one entry form for each book read or listened to.

*Drop the completed entry form into our drop box.  Please be sure to write nicely, if we can't read your writing or your phone number, we won't be able to contact you for your prize!

*If you attend any of the adult programs listed below, you will receive an additional raffle ticket.

*We will have drawings on each Thursday, starting Thursday, June 19th through Thursday, August 21st to determine the winners of our incentives.  The prizes are coupons and gift cards donated from restaurants and businesses in Grapevine.  The Friends of the Library have also generously donated several gift certificates to be given away.

                                                 Adult Programs

Saturday, June 28th  2:00 p.m.  Astrology is Elemental 
Discover the inner secrets of astrology and how much fun astrological influences can be.  Presented by Dr. Damian Nordmann, Field Director of the School of Metaphysics.

Tuesday July 8th  7:00 p.m.  Edgar Allan Poe
Join us for an entertaining evening with a portrayal of the horror master himself, Edgar Allan Poe.  Retracing his life from the moment of his mysterious death, this theatrical performance is not one to miss!

Saturday, July 19th  2:00 p.m.  The MadriGals
Five-time world champions in Women's Barbershop Harmony.  The MadriGals will be performing music from the Renaissance and Baroque eras in lively costumes! 

Thursday, July 24th  7:00 p.m.
Ghost Hunting
Kevin from the Fort Worth Paranormal Society will be at the library to talk about the experiences he has had, and the technology used to hunt ghosts!

Sunday, August 10th  3:00 p.m.  Fort Worth Guitar Guild 
Join the Fort Worth Guitar Guild as they perform various classical selections for your relaxing, Sunday afternoon listening pleasure.

Wednesday, August 13th 1:00 p.m. Taylor Stevens
The Entwined Minds Book Club is very excited to host DFW local author, Taylor Stevens.  We will be discussing her series, the first of which is The Informationist.  Join us for this fun event!
