The majestic beauty that is the Grapevine Botanical Gardens at Heritage Park, 411 Ball Street, was inspired by the vision of Mayor Pro Tem C. Shane Wilbanks. This two acre property was purchased in 1995 from the Mitchell family. The Bessie Mitchell house, located on the grounds of the Gardens is a popular rental facility managed by the City of Grapevine. Boasting a great-lawn, water features, walking bridges, seasonal foliage, an herb garden, butterfly garden, educational events, garden docents and the Ed & Edith Pewitt Educational Pavilion, these grounds have hosted hundreds of weddings, meetings, showers, photo shoots, marriage proposals and memory-making fun than any other park in Grapevine. Always free of charge, we hope you enjoy the beautiful grounds that our Parks staff works to maintain year-round.
