History and Government

Although settlers began coming into Grapevine as early as the 1600's, the City was incorporated in 1907. In 1965 it became a Home Rule municpality which operates under the policy leadership of the Mayor and Council and the administrative leadership of a professional City Manager. The Mayor and City Council are elected at-large for three year terms.
