Streets
The Grapevine Street Division of Public Works is responsible for the surface repair and preventive maintenance of streets throughout the City. This is accomplished by reducing pavement deterioration with proper maintenance techniques. Additional functions include minimizing hazardous roadway conditions, performing drainage work, and responding to citizen requests for service. This division also responds to emergencies, and weather related events as needed in an effort to assure safe conditions for the citizens and motorists.
Objectives
- To investigate and respond to citizen requests within 3 working days
- Respond to emergencies in 60 minutes or less
- Repair reported potholes within 24 hours
- Crack seal 200 blocks annually
- Clean and excavate 11,500 linear feet of road ditches annually
- Repair 800 linear feet of deteriorated curb and gutter annually
- Inspect and clean 575 storm sewer inlets annually
Hours of operation
Normal working hours are from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. However, standby personnel are available 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.

To report any problem during normal working hours for street or drainage problems, telephone 817-410-3332. For after hour emergencies, contact the Grapevine Police Department at 817-410-8127, and the request will be forwarded to our on-call personnel.
