Solid Waste Collection
Currently, the City of Grapevine has selected Allied Waste Services (Allied) as our contractor to provide solid waste service in the City of Grapevine. This includes residential and commercial service. Allied can be reached at (817) 332-7301 or (800) 333-7301. They have customer service agents standing by ready to take your call. Allied’s website at www.disposal.com or www.republicservices.com also has some helpful information.
In the United Sates of America, solid waste also referred to as trash, garbage, refuse, etc. is governed by the principles of the Resource Conservation Recovery Act www.epa.gov/rcraonline. When we think of solid waste, most of us think about the bag of trash we place at curbside before 7:00 a.m.; but the big picture is much more complex because some solid waste can even be considered hazardous and liquid waste is also considered solid waste.
The City of Grapevine’s goal is to work in a cooperative teamwork spirit with the contractor, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality and the United States Environmental Protection Agency in order to ensure that Grapevine’s customers receive the best service possible.
