Solid Waste Collection

  Currently, the City of Grapevine has selected Allied Waste Services (Allied) as our contractor to provide solid waste service in the City of Grapevine. This includes residential and commercial service. Allied can be reached at (817) 332-7301 or (800) 333-7301. They have customer service agents standing by ready to take your call. In the United Sates of America, solid waste also referred to as trash, garbage, refuse, etc. is governed by the principles of the Resource Conservation Recovery Act www.epa.gov/rcraonline. When we think of solid waste, most of us think about the bag of trash we place at curbside before 7:00 a.m.; but the big picture is much more complex  because some solid waste can even be considered hazardous and liquid waste is also considered solid waste.

The City of Grapevine’s goal is to work in a cooperative teamwork spirit with the contractor, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality and the United States Environmental Protection Agency in order to ensure that Grapevine’s customers receive the best service possible.

Here are some quick tips for managing the solid waste you generate: 

• Minimize the amount of waste you generate at the source. Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle!
• Make sure your solid waste and recyclables are placed at curbside where your address is displayed no later than 7:00 am on the day of service.
• Prevent your waste from scattering and littering your neighborhood. Put it in a plastic garbage bag and tie it shut. 
• If you use a garbage can, prevent your garbage can from blowing into the street after service. 
• Please do not place service items at curbside more that 12 hours in advance of service.
