Candidates must possess the following qualifications at the time of application:

1.            High School Diploma or equivalent.

2.            Basic Detention Officer training, to include knowledge of regulations for jail area 
           conduct and operations.

3.            Knowledge of first aid.

4.            5 years Jailer experience

5.           Supervisor experience preferred.

Candidates must possess a Texas driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. 

No DWI/DUI convictions in the past ten years.  No felony convictions.  No convictions, deferred adjudication, or probation for assault family violence or theft. 

$3,477.34 to $4,867.20 monthly starting salary depending on qualifications.

Applicant must pass a full background investigation, polygraph test, psychological screening, medical, and drug screen.
