ANIMAL CONTROL SUPERVISOR
Coordinates and supervises daily activities of the Animal Control Unit of the Police Department. Responsible for recommendation and implementation of policies and procedures. Assures departmental compliance with local, state and federal animal control regulations. Performs duties of animal control officer as needed.
Candidates must possess the following qualifications at the time of application:
1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
2. Basic Animal Control Certification required with two years prior experience as an Animal Control Officer.
3. Advanced Animal Control Certification preferred and required within the first year of employment.
4. Must attend Euthanasia training course and obtain a certificate of completion within the first year of employment.
Candidates must possess a Texas driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
$3,477.34 to $4, 867.20 monthly starting salary depending on qualifications.
Applicant must pass a full background investigation, polygraph test, psychological screening, medical, and drug screen.
