UNIFORM OPERATIONS DIVISON

(972) 724-1668 Substation

In January 2005, the Grapevine Police Department embraced the philosophy of Community Policing. With this strategy, officers patrol the same districts during their tour of duty in an effort to become familiar with the people and the surroundings.

This style of policing allows the officers and the citizens to form a partnership that not only addresses crime but also has a positive impact on quality of life issues such as nuisance abatement, lighting and signage, street and road conditions and neighborhood traffic concerns. The district officers and their supervisors are provided cellular telephones to converse with citizens and efficiently conduct City business.

The Uniform Operations Division consists of the uniformed patrol officers, the police substation at Grapevine Mills Mall, bike patrol, ATV patrol, K-9, Traffic, Municipal Jail, Animal Control and SWAT.
