Adopt-an-Area

Over 59 areas have been adopted throughout the City through this citizen involvement program. Generous organizations and families from around the City have adopted parks, traffic medians, playgrounds, streets, and trails.  The primary requirement of this program is to collect litter at least six times per year in the adopted area.  Some groups provide weeding, trimming, planting or other services as needed within their area.  A sign with the family or groups name who has adopted that area is posted near their adopted area.
