Reservation Procedures - Effective January 1, 2008

CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS

GOLF COURSE POLICIES AND PROCEDURES

 

I. RESERVATIONS

 

A. Reservation procedures
1. A minimum of four (4) players are needed to secure a reservation on Friday’s, weekends, and holidays.

2. Reservations will be taken for 2 or more players on Monday thru Thursday (except holidays).

3. Non Gold Card members may make reservations 6 days in advance of the day of play beginning when the Pro Shop opens in person or by telephone. Non Gold Card members make a maximum of two (2) tee time per day, six (6) days in advance. If you make more than one tee time it must be for a foursome (4) (for each tee time) 7 days of week. When the Pro Shop opens, those individuals present will have first priority of making a tee time. Reservations by phone will then be taken.

4. For an annual fee of $75.00 + tax, an individual may purchase a Gold Card. This card will entitle the owner to the following privileges:
a. Gold Card members may make reservations 7 days in advance of the day of play beginning, when the Pro Shop opens in person or by telephone.
b. Gold Card members may make a maximum of two (2) tee time per day, seven (7) days in advance. If you make more than one tee time it must be for a foursome (4), for each tee time, 7 days of week.  Example: On Wednesday for the next Wednesday.
c. The Gold Card member is the only person who can make a tee time seven (7) days in advance.
d. When the Pro Shop opens, those Gold Card members present will have first priority of making a tee time. Reservations by phone will then be taken.
e. Handicap services.
f. A coupon for a green fee with cart for 18 holes valid anytime.
g. Eligible to play in Gold Card member tournaments where riding will be mandatory.
h. Gold Card members who make a reservation will be required to cancel that reservation 24 hours prior, if they find they will not be able to play.
i. On weekends and holidays, if a Gold Card member has a reservation and the group has less than four players, they will be exempt from paying for the green fee and cart for the missing player(s) twice during the year. Upon a third and subsequent occurrences, the entire group will be responsible for the missing player(s) green fee(s) and cart fee(s).
j. The golf shop staff has the right to pair players with groups of less than 4 players.
k. Refusal or declination to pay for missing player(s) will result in revocation of Gold Card privileges without refund of the Gold Card cost and they will not be able to purchase another card in subsequent years.
l. The Gold Card privileges will be annually renewable and will run from January to January. The price of the Gold Card will not be prorated for any portion of the year.

5. All members of a group having a reservation must check in with the Pro Shop on the day of play at least twenty (20) minutes prior to their scheduled reservation. If all members of the group are not present, the Pro Shop staff shall have the option of placing additional players with the group to round out the foursome.

 

6. The members of a non-Gold Card group making a reservation are liable for payment of green fees and cart fees if they fail to use the reservation and did not cancel 24 hours in advance. Groups not showing up with four (4) players will either be paired to fill out their foursome or will be responsible for paying for four (4) green fees and four (4) cart fees.

 

7. Failure to adhere to the above reservation procedures will cause individuals to lose the privilege of making a reservation.

 

ll. REGULATION OF PLAY
A. Each player must have a valid green fee ticket in his possession at all times.
B. Slow players must allow faster players to play through if they are one (1) clear hole behind.
C. Golf is a four (4) hour game.
D. More than five players in a group may be allowed only by the Director of Golf. All players in a group of more than four (4) must ride.
E. Every player must have a golf bag and clubs.
F. U. S. G. A. rules govern all play except when modified by local rules
G. Each group is responsible for maintaining their position during the course of play.
H. Foursomes have right‑of‑way over threesomes, twosomes, and singles.
I. The Golf Shop staff will have the right to control all play. The Golf Shop Staff will group singles, twosomes, and threesomes to alleviate any crowded conditions.
J. Players shall not play into a green when course personnel have removed the flag. They must wait until the course personnel replaces the flag.
K. Children under nine (9) years of age shall not be permitted to play the course unless they are accompanied by an adult (age 18). Children five (5) years of age or under are not permitted on the course at any time.

 

III. OPERATION OF ELECTRIC CARTS AND PULL CARTS
A. Carts will be issued by starting times only, and no sooner than 40 minutes to tee time.
B. The leasees and drivers of golf carts must be 18 years of age with a valid driver’s license.
C. No more than two (2) persons and two (2) bags per any cart.
D. Electric cart must be kept on cart trails around all tees, greens and must observe all cart signs.
E. Pull carts are not allowed on greens and or tees.
F. Leasee is responsible for all damages to the golf cart.
G. Leasee must return cart before responsibility is over.
H. Pull carts shall not be pulled from electric carts.
I. Privately owned golf carts are not allowed.

 

IV. RAIN CHECKS

The Grapevine Golf Course must be closed by the Course Superintendent for rain checks to be issued. If the Course Superintendent is not available, then either of the Co-Head Professionals will make the decision.

 

A. An 18 hole rain check will be issued if a regular 18 hole fee was paid and the player has completed less than 9 holes. The cart fee will be prorated.
B. When an 18 hole green fee has been paid and the player has teed off on hole #15 or beyond, no rain check will be issued and there will be no refund on the cart fee.
C. When a regular 18 hole green fee has been paid and the player has complete between 9-14 holes, a 9 hole fee will be charged and the difference between a 9 hole and 18 hole fee will be refunded. The cart fee will be prorated.
D. A 9 hole or twilight rain check will be issued based on the type purchased if the player has completed 5 or less holes. Once a player has teed off on hole #6 or beyond, no rain checks will be issued. The cart fee will be prorated.
E. Redemption of rain checks will be only used for the type purchased. Weekday for Weekday, Weekend for Weekend, Weekday 9 holes for Weekday for 9 holes, Weekend 9 holes for Weekend 9 holes, Weekday twilight for Weekday twilight or Weekend twilight for Weekend twilight.

 

V. GOLF ETIQUETTE
A. Slow players should allow faster players to go through.
B. Please repair ball marks on green.
C. Please smooth tracks in sand trap.
D. Please deposit all trash in receptacle provided at each tee.

 

VI. GOLF DECORUM AND FASHION
A. Course will be open to the public daily, except on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day, weather permitting from daylight to dark.
B. Intoxicated patrons will be denied privileges of all facilities at the golf course.
C. Patrons using the golf facilities shall be properly attired. Proper attire is defined to be the regular and customary apparel ordinarily used by golfers. Shirts with sleeves (no tank tops), shorts must be hemmed and shoes must be worn at all times when using the golf course or the clubhouse.
D. Football, track, soccer, baseball, and ripple‑soled shoes are prohibited.
E. Loitering or hunting golf balls on the golf course shall be prohibited. Five (5) minutes to search for a lost ball in the play of a particular stroke is the maximum.
F. The Grapevine Golf Course staff have the power and right to deny all person(s) further use of the golf course facilities when such person(s) persist in violating course rules or conduct themselves in a manner considered by the Grapevine Golf Course staff to be detrimental to the best interest of the golf course.
G. Golf Shop and/or Restaurant hours of operation will be determined by play and time of year.
H. Absolutely no alcoholic beverages are to be brought onto the premises.
I. Absolutely no coolers are to be brought onto the premises.
