Sharron Spencer is a Native Texan whose ancestors came to Texas with the Peters Colony. She has been a Grapevine resident since 1975. She worked for American Airlines for 21 years, and was Vice President of Spencer Engineering, Inc.

Sharron served as Chair of the Planning & Zoning Commission four years of her six years service prior to her election to the City Council in 1985. She has been re-elected every three years since, most recently in 2009.

Her many volunteer activities have included the GrapeFest Steering Committee, Main Street Days Committee, Sesquicentennial Committee, Grapevine Festivals Commission; she has Co-Chaired GrapeFest.

Sharron is a Charter Member of the Grapevine Heritage Foundation, has served on the Baylor Hospital Development Council, is a member of the Chamber of Commerce, Women's Division of the Chamber, and she and husband, Jerry, chaired the Chamber's Building Committee for their current facility.

Sharron is the recipient of the Community Service Award from the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, Captain Molly Corbin Chapter.
