Santa Cops

Santa Cops

The Grapevine Police Santa Cops is officially underway for the 2022 season. This year, Grapevine Police need your help more than ever.

The largest toy drive event of the year was canceled due to weather. The event typically provided 90% of the donated toys for the program, so added community involvement and donations will be critical to meeting community needs this holiday season.

Grapevine Police Santa Cops was started in 1995 by now retired Officer Margie Salame. The program delivers donated toys to economically disadvantaged children in the community. Through this program, Christmas wishes are fulfilled for hundreds of children each year.
Santa Cops is funded entirely by local donations. It is organized and implemented by Grapevine Police Officers, their families and community volunteers. Santa Cops would be non-existent without the extreme generosity of the people of this great community! While all gifts are appreciated, gifts for teenagers are always in short supply and very much appreciated by families.

Anyone wanting to sign up to receive gifts can do so at the Grapevine Community Outreach Center.

How can you help Santa Cops?

Santa Cops accepts toy donations starting in November. Monetary donations will be accepted during regular business hours at the Grapevine Public Safety Building. Toy drop-off locations will be at:

  • Grapevine Public Safety Building
  • City Hall
  • The REC
  • Hotel Vin
  • Grapevine Runners Club
  • D-Bat Southlake
  • Chill Grapevine

How else can you help Santa Cops?

Anyone wishing to volunteer to wrap toys can register to assist on scheduled wrapping nights, held in December. 2022 wrapping nights will take from 5-8pm place over two evenings. A third night was not needed this year. The two wrapping dates will occur:

  • Tuesday, December 6
  • Thursday, December 8
Wrapping will take place at our Toy Shoppe, located at 1217 SH-114, Suite 100 in Grapevine (near the Target Shopping Center.) Sign-up for wrapping nights is now OPEN, but you must register in advance:
