Grapevine Police Officer Karem Miramontes, Detective Brad Mitchell and Officer Philip Wolan earned top honors by Mothers Against Drunk Driving North Texas at the 2019 Tarrant County “Take the Wheel” Law Enforcement Awards Luncheon in Euless.

Officer Wolan earned the Enforcement Hero Award for removing 85 suspected drunk drivers from the road in 2018. Detective Mitchell and Officer Miramontes earned the Commitment Hero Award for exemplifying a strong overall commitment to DWI enforcement. Detective Mitchell filed 291 DWI-related cases in 2018, while Officer Miramontes removed 24 suspected drunk drivers from the road. Congratulations to each of these officers for their commitment to protecting the city of Grapevine and preventing more DWI-related accidents.
