The Operations Division responded to 9,035 calls in 2014, and saw this number increase sizably to 9,766 in 2015. The different types of calls responded to include emergency medical calls, structure fires, rescues, wildland fires, automobile accidents, boating accidents, drowning, alarm activations, lockouts, and a variety of other incidents.
The statistics for Fire / Rescue and EMS calls for the last several years are as follows.
These calls are covered by a staff of 92 certified personnel. With the placement of five fire stations in different areas of the city, we are able to arrive on the scene of each call in an average of four minutes.
